UPDATE: North Donahue Drive closure expected through August

UPDATE, July 14: North Donahue Drive will be closed between Bragg and Drake avenues from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. starting Wednesday, July 16. All business and residences in the area will remain accessible during the closure, which is expected to last through August.

A full road closure is also expected between Bragg and Porter avenues Monday, July 21, through Sunday, July 27, while crews make repairs to critical stormwater infrastructure in the area. This closure will be in place 24/7.

Motorists are advised to detour around the closures via White Street. The City appreciates the public’s patience as we make these critical repairs and improve this section of North Donahue Drive.

AUBURN, Ala.- A contractor will begin widening North Donahue Drive between Bragg Avenue and West Drake Avenue on Tuesday, May 27, as part of the Boykin Donahue Campus project.

Lane and road closures are expected during the work, which will take place between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. throughout the summer. All businesses and residences in the area will remain accessible.

Work will begin in the southbound lane then move to the northbound lane. Both lanes will be closed during the final phase of the project.

Traffic control measures will be in place to direct traffic around the closures. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area and to follow posted signage.

The City appreciates the public's patience as we work on improving this section of North Donahue Drive.
